BIOGRAPHY
Michael Zussman has over 15 years experience advising middle-market and emerging businesses in the areas of corporate and business law, technology transactions, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, intellectual property protection, and digital media.
After being the first corporate attorney elevated to partner at a New Jersey-based full-service law firm, Michael served for several years as Chief Legal Officer of an advertising technology (AdTech) company.
Previously, Michael was a member of the Venture Law Group in one of New York City’s most well-respected digital media, entertainment, and intellectual property law firms.
Michael served as the 2017-2019 Chair of the Federal Bar Association’s IP Law Section, and is a past President of the FBA’s SDNY Chapter, where his leadership earned the chapter the Presidential Excellence Award. Michael was named to the Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list for five consecutive years.
In addition to practicing law, Michael plays guitar, drums, and piano. He enjoys playing music, biking and hiking, especially with his two sons. He is also a long-distance runner and ran the New York City Marathon twice, the San Francisco Marathon, and nineteen half marathons.
